What are the best books on the Byzantine Empire ~ A Short History of Byzantium by Norwich is actually pretty good I havent read the original version since Im from Montréal I speak french first but we had to read parts of it in my History of the Byzantine Empire class I took doing my in history Its a good book in my opinion Of course if youre looking for some light
